My name is Tolu Okuns, better known as TDEE.

My whole life has been about music. Growing up with my parents and 2 brothers in Nigeria, I left Lagos state and came to the UK when I was 15. I would later go on to study a BA Hons degree in Business management at Greenwich University. 

Once in the UK, I settled in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and it was here that I met people who had the same love and passion for music as I did. Already influenced by artists such as Brandy, Sunny Ade and Shina Peters my style, my beats and my lyrics changed with the emergence of the 90’s hip hop era. Legends like Tupac, Mase and Nas to name a few enabled me to develop my creativity in the world of music. 

Fortunate enough to gain experience in the industry creating, writing, and performing in groups such as the Litigants and TNT and achieving some success, this only spurred my desire to move forward as a solo performer and produce my own unique flavour, style and sound that represented me as an artist and pays homage to the many legends that was and is today.
