Hello, my name is Natalie Bunton, I’m 35 and a vocalist from Basildon, Essex. I first found my love of music at the age of around 10, when my nan bought me my first Mariah Carey album. I listened to music constantly and my dad was always my biggest fan but also my critic! I appreciated his opinions more than anyone. Even to this day he is always quick to tell me who he’s played my music to at work etc., he is still always full of compliments! I started to sing at the around the age of 14 when I was in school. I did lots of school performances and always loved the buzz of performing.
At the age of 16 – I auditioned for the very first Pop Idol, and auditioned twice for Xfactor. When I was 18 I auditioned for a group in Leicester Square; the process lasted over a month and thankfully I got through all the rounds. When it came to decision day there were quite a few of us left and I was sure my luck had run out. To my surprise, I made it through and was secured a place in the band. There were four of us selected and on the same day had a photo shoot and made plans for the studio of recording of our first single. We had the best time, but unfortunately the band wasn’t to be as after just 3 months the band had to go their separate ways.
I worked with producer Bradley Green after the band separated and worked on a project of my own, creating original music. I was fortunate enough to travel to Latvia with him on a learning experience, we visited record companies for other projects he was working on. After Bradley and I parted ways, I decided to give the music a break and work full time, however music remains my greatest passion.
